It’s almost sad how little interest I have in any Marvel title right now. I don’t know what it is but nothing they’re dong is grabbing my attention and almost none of their creative teams are enough to overcome my disinterest in those books. And honestly, my interest in DC books is only slightly greater, mostly due to Geoff Johns, who either does stuff I really enjoy (Blackest Night) or stuff I can’t stand (Adventure Comics.)
- Detective Comics #856– The Rucka/Williams III tour-de-force continues. I don’t know how much I’ve gotten into this story yet but the art is certainly something else.
- Flash Rebirth #4
- Green Lantern Vol 4 #45– It’s a Geoff Johns twofer this week. I honestly don’t know whether that’s good or bad.
- Wednesday Comics #8– O.k. I read the first 6 issues in one night last week and I’ve just got to say that was a massive chore. I know I’m supposed to like this comic and think it’s so revolutionary but it’s just long, tedious and not that good. There I said it- it’s just not that strong of a book. I’d rather have Solo back for a second shot than suffer through another round of this book.
- King City #1– Looking forward to seeing how this book comes out. I’ve got the original digest of it but think it’ll look super in the larger-than-normal size.
- Muppet Show TP– I’ve got the first two issues of this. The first one didn’t wow me the way it did most people but I loved the second issue, where Fozzie had a crisis of faith of something, all worked around comedy skits. I can’t wait to get this collection and read the whole thing.
