Another week and another stop at the comic shop that’ll produce only one book.
- Grendel Devils Reign TP (future purchase)– And with that, I will have nice collections of all of Matt Wagner’s Grendel work minus his most recent Hunter Rose miniseries. Wagner’s tale of aggression, brutality and society is one of comics epic tales, showcasing the ugliness of obsession and power. It’s been forever since I read Devil’s Reign but I recall this being one of the more optimistic Grendel tales.
- Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol 2 #10 (War Of Kings Tie-In) (lcs)– Something’s wrong with me. This is a book everyone loves and I did at one time as well but I haven’t been enjoying the last 2-3 issues and have lost almost all of my passion for this book.
- Naoki Urasawas 20th Century Boys Vol 1 TP (dcbs)– Urasawa!
- Pluto Urasawa x Tezuka Vol 1 TP (dcbs)– Urasawa!
- Comic Foundry Magazine Winter 2008 (dcbs)– 2008 seemed like such a good year for comic magazines and now 2009 sees the last issue of Comic Foundry.
