Let’s see… This week features the release of two books that I’ve been eagerly waiting, a manga title that I need already catch up on, a Star Wars book, a bunch of Legion stuff and Mike Allred’s existential meanderings disguised as a thinly veiled superhero book. Oh and non-Gaiman Sandman stuff.
While there’s no DCBS box coming for me this week, I’ve ordered a few things from Instock Trades as well that will hopefully be hitting my door before the weekend: Real v2 & 3 and Omega The Unknown. Hopefully with a trip to Michigan this weekend I’ll have plenty of stuff to read.
- Star Wars Legacy Vol 5 Hidden Temple TP 9 (future)– I may end up sticking to getting every other book if that’s all Jan Duursema is working on.
- Adventure Comics Vol 2 #0 (Origins & Omens Tie-In) (lcs)– Maybe. I’m kind of tired of the whole “string along Legion fans” going on right now and just want an honest-to-goodness Legion story.
- Final Crisis Legion Of Three Worlds #3 (lcs)– And this may be it but did Johns really need to bring the Green Lanterns into this? I’m starting to think even Infinite Crisis may be better categorized as a GL stor
- Sandman Dream Hunters #4 (lcs)– I wish I enjoyed this miniseries more than I actually did.
- Madman Atomic Comics #13 (lcs)– Ah, the monthly trip into Mike Allreds’s mind.
- Agents Of Atlas Vol 2 #1 (lcs)– YES!!!
- Scott Pilgrim Vol 5 Scott Pilgrim vs The Universe GN (dcbs)– Here’s the sucky stuff about mail ordering books– the wait. Thanks to my twice-monthly comic delivery, I won’t get this book until Feb 12th at the earliest. To tide me over, I’m rereading the series right now. Maybe someday I’ll flesh out my “Scott Pilgrim is today’s Love & Rockets” theory a bit.
- Slam Dunk Vol 2 GN Viz Edition (future)– I’ve got to read the first volume this weekend and hunt down this one.
