Here’s a week where a bunch of stuff is coming out but I only feel enthusiam for one or two books. I just picked up the Slam Dunk manga yesterday so I think I’ll be reading that tonight.
- Sandman Dream Hunters #3 (lcs)– I’m loving going through the Absolute Sandman volumes right now but this series doesn’t even show up on my radar. I love P. Craig Russel’s artwork but this still feels like anunnecessary retelling of a previous story.
- Secret Invasion War Of Kings One Shot (lcs)– I hate to say it but I could care less about the Inhumans or the Shiar right now. I’m very tepid to this whole event and if it wasn’t by the creative team of Guardians of the Galaxy, I’d be ignoring it.
- War Of Kings Saga (lcs)– Hey, it’s free so I’ll probably check it out.
- New Avengers Vol 9 Secret Invasion Book 2 HC (lcs)
- Secret Invasion TP (dcbs)– If pressed, I’ll admit that, while disappointing, overall I enjoyed Secret Invasion. There, I said it. There’s a help group for people like me, isn’t there?
- Universal War One Vol 1 HC (dcbs)– I’m looking forward to reading this story. The art looked stunning.
- Rasl Vol 1 Drift TP (future purchase)– This will be a future purchase once they actually do a nice and more complete collection. The cartooning that Smith is doing on this series is excellent but this short trade (only 3 issues) feels like a way to fill in some shipping downtime rather than something that needed to be collected already.
