I’ve been in Michigan since Christmas morning and have spent most of my free time reading a bunch of manga. Right now, I’m more excited about these books than almost anything being published by an American publisher right now. Solanin would probably even knock something off of my 2008 Best Of list. If I had read it before making that list. These four books are definately better than anything I bought at the comic shop last week. As I try to figure out where to spend my money in 2009, I’m thinking that I’m going to be preordering more manga. Real and Slam Dunk are two titles I’ll probably be adding to my list.
