After the last couple of weeks, I was beginning to wonder if I was even getting comic books anymore. I guess this list answers that question.
- Final Crisis Legion Of Three Worlds #2
- Final Crisis Rogues Revenge #3 — considering I still have last week’s FC: Revelations to pick up, I’m going to be getting a lot of Final Crisis without getting the real Final Crisis.
- Justice Society Of America Vol 3 #19– I’m really enjoying this series but we’ve still got at least 3 issues and a number of one-shots left to go? Really?
- Doctor Who Forgotten #2– Enjoyed the first issue as a history lesson in Doctor Who.
- Charlatan Ball #4– It’s a mad, mad, mad world.
- Madman Atomic Comics #11– While I haven’t greatly enjoyed this series like I used to, I like the mood established in Allred’s artwork and his wife’s coloring.
- Astonishing X-Men Vol 3 #27– Hey, I’m still liking this series. I may be one of the few people who think that the Ellis/Bianchi team is way better than the Whedon/Cassaday team.
- Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol 2 #6 – My favorite Marvel book right now.
- War Is Hell First Flight Of The Phantom Eagle HC– May get this just for the Chaykin artwork.
- Doktor Sleepless Vol 1 Engines Of Desire TP– I’m looking forward to giving this title another try. The issues didn’t do much for me but, looking back, I’m not too sure if it was a problem with the book or with my own changing attitudes towards monthlies vs. trades. Sure, there were hints of Ellis’s Transmetropolitan in there but the idea still kind of intrigues me.
- Rasl #3– I’m still very curious to see where Smith goes with this book.
- Naoki Urasawas Monster Vol 17 TP– And with that, there’s only one more volume to go.
- Comic Foundry Magazine Fall 2008– I’ve enjoyed the range of stories, interviews and features Comic Foundry has had in the first few issues. With this, The Comics Journal and Comics Now, there’s a nice little trifecta of comic magazines. I just hope that the two newbies can survive.
With all of those and some other books in my DCBS box, I should have plenty to read over the next couple of weeks.
