Sure, that may look like your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man but this is the Friday Night Fights and it’s Ladies’ Night so all is not what it appears to be in this scene from Spider-Man: Brand New Day #3. The lack of snappy patter or the use of his patented webbing should give you a hint that this isn’t our favorite wall crawler.
The latest volume of Brand New Day featuring the artwork of Marcos Martin and Mike McKone is the artistically the strongest yet. Martin really captures a Ditko-esque feel and McKone is an underrated artist in my book.
