Comic Book Artist or Write Now issues for $2

By Scott Cederlund in comics

I just got the following email from TwoMorrows:

As a past reader of COMIC BOOK ARTIST or WRITE NOW magazine, I wanted to alert you to a big sale we’re having on back issues of both magazines.

Through June 30, existing back issues of both magazines are available for only $2 each plus shipping. These savings of up to 70% off cover price have never been offered before, making it the perfect time for readers to complete their runs of both magazines.
WRITE NOW features writing tips from pros on both sides of the desk, interviews, sample scripts, reviews, exclusive Nuts & Bolts tutorials, and more invaluable information on writing for comics, animation, and sci-fi, and is edited by Marvel Comics editor and Spider-Man writer Danny Fingeroth. COMIC BOOK ARTIST is the multi-Eisner Award winner for Best Comics Related Periodical, edited by Jon B. Cooke. It features in-depth articles, interviews, and unseen art, celebrating the lives and careers of the great comics artists from the 1970s to today, and though TwoMorrows no longer publishes CBA, back issues are still highly sought after in the collector’s market.

This sale is only valid for orders placed at www.twomorrows.com through June 30, and applies to all in-stock issues of both magazines, except for Comic Book Artist #21. That issue, featuring fan favorite artist Adam Hughes, is not part of the sale due to limited availability; however, that issue is available for 15% off cover price, plus shipping. You can easily find the sale items by clicking on the “Two Mags, Two Bucks” category in the upper lefthand corner of TwoMorrows’ home page, or the big banner atop the home page.

I’ve actually known about this for a few days and placed my order late last week but this is still a great deal if you’re at all interested in the nuts & bolts of writing or drawing comics.
