I was out of town over the weekend so there hasn’t been much posting. I’m behind on a couple of planned reviews and am already thinking how I want to approach The Sandman Files I wrote about last week. So while I’m planning out this blogging week, here’s this week’s shopping list:
Batman #668– #667 may be the best single issue of the year so let’s see if the team of Morrison and Williams can put together a good second act.
Countdown #36—only a couple of more pre-ordered issues and then I’m out.
Green Lantern Corps #15—I’m really digging Patrick Gleason’s artwork on this series. He crams the page full of details that just boggle the mind.
Spirit #9—Here’s a bit of unreported news from Wizard World Chicago—Gail Simone and Michael Golden are doing a short Spirit story for an upcoming issue.
Supergirl and the Legion of Super-Heroes #33—This may end up being a make or break issue for me. I’d sure like to know who’s coming up on the title after Bedard & Calero take off.
Complete Terry & the Pirates V1 1934-1936—Ah, I know what I’ll be reading all weekend (in between the much-needed prep for my fantasy football draft.) I hope that IDW does a much better job on these reprints than the recent Checker reprints of Steve Canyon.
Astonishing X-Men #22—I think I should be much more excited about this than I actually am.
Ultimate Spider-Man 100 Project TP—I had to fight myself to not buy this at Wizard World Chicago though they did have a sweet hardcover.
Mouse Guard Winter 1152 #1—Already? That actually seems kind of quick for this title.
Black Summer #2—Another title that’s actually coming out fairly quick. I’ve been meaning to write about #1 but I guess I’ll wait until this issue is out.
So, if it wasn’t for some fantastic Milton Caniff work, it would be a surprisingly light week. Those are getting more and more common lately.
