Things of beauty– Kate Pierson’s voice on REM songs

I’m stuck at work doing some system testing and listening to the REM best of collection IN TIME: THE BEST OF REM and there’s a non-album song on it called Fretless that was recorded during the OUT OF TIME sessions. It features B52 Kate Pierson on backing vocals. On OUT OF TIME, she also did vocals on Shiny Happy People and Country Feedback (?.) I’m not a huge B52 fan but her voice is a near perfect complement to Michael Stipes vocals and lyrics.
