I don’t know who to blame on this one. In the newest Supergirl and the Legion of Super-Heroes (#31) to be exact, there’s this page showing the results of the latest Legion elections (click on the thumbnail for the full image):
Showing the breakdowns of the election, the following members of the team got these percentages:
7%– Brainiac 5
23%– Cosmic Boy
26%– Lightning Lad
54%– Supergirl
Now I’m no math major or anything but something doesn’t seem right to me here. Counting on my fingers and my toes, 7 + 23 + 26 + 54 = 110%. Wow!!! In the future, the laws of math are abolished or at least modified and 100% is now longer 100%. Maybe in the future we’ll move to a base 11 system or something that will make 110% the new 100%.
Something really weird is going on elsewhere in this issue. The cover proclaims “THE QUEST BEGINS!” yet the next issue blurb says “The quest for Cosmic Boy begins!” I haven’t gotten through the whole issue yet but maybe the quest the cover advertises isn’t the Cosmic Boy quest? Maybe the team is looking for a Tim Hortons or something?
I wonder if Tim Hortons will still exist 1000 years from now?
